Ever since I could remember I've always been playing sports and had myself involved in athletics. By having the chance to work with the Samford Sports Media team, I got the chance to incorporate my love for sports with my love for design. I took many of the skills that I learned from my experiences with this work and continued to make work on my own.
With the football season starting in the spring after dealing with Covid. I was tasked with creating a series of social media posters counting down to the day of the 1st game. I wanted to establish continuity and cohesiveness within the layout I created, so that regardless of the player or color of jersey the theme was still fitting. I decided to have a collage feel with the torn sheet of paper, and added the rugged and distressed stripes to add balance to the composition. There was also intention with focusing on all of the players on the roster rather than just the popular skilled positions
In addition to the countdown posts I had the chance to create some gameday graphics for certain weeks. The focus with each of them was creating a composition that functioned well creatively, but also communicated information for the game clearly. In addition to creating the graphics I also added animation to each of them.
