NBA Type Posters: Passion Project

This was another passion project of mine further exploring design elements through the NBA. Each poster I made was centered around the use of type, team colors, and balanced composition and the use of focal points. This allowed me to explore different tools and features in both Photoshop and Illustrator and allow my creativity to take me where it goes. I also used a lot of hand drawn marks for this project which allowed for more creativity, and in certain cases more control over how I wanted something done.

This project contained a lot of experimentation with color and type. Here's a look at my workboards in illustrator that helped me to figure out the execution of each of the posters for each athlete. Much of what I do in illustrator involves bringing in sketches and also seeing how different colors work together. I make sure to do this at the beginning stages of my process to see what works best.
